Master's Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds as they made off with a 13-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in February.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Cotgreave, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Chase Bell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Master's Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Oxbridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Master's Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Oxbridge Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they will take on Treasure Coast at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Park Academy has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
