Priory has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lutheran North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rebels will challenge the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m.
Priory is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Louis Homeschool just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 9-3 to the Patriots.
Priory saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Huck, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lutheran North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Metro on Monday as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Adonis Bledsoe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Osar Tate, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Lutheran North: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-8 otherwise. Kayden Teaberry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Priory's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lutheran North, their record now sits at 11-8.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Priory hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Lutheran North struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Priory got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 against Lutheran North by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
