Osceola is 9-1 against Lakewood since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Osceola Warriors will square off against the Lakewood Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Osceola saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against East Lake, falling 8-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Osceola got a good showing from Jackson Berglund, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Berglund also posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Osceola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Stegbauer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Meanwhile, Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-8 to St. Petersburg.
Jonathan Jacomino and Mikal Morris did some serious damage despite the final result: Jacomino went a perfect2-for-2 with three RBI, while Morris scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Having lost for the first time this season, Osceola fell to 2-1. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Lakewood's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Osceola has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Lakewood, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Osceola keep running through batters, or will Lakewood buck the trend?
Osceola took their victory against Lakewood when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Osceola since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
