Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is South Sevier's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

South Sevier extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Parowan. They never let Parowan get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. South Sevier might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Bigs Northrup made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Ingram, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cannon Barney, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

South Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

South Sevier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Parowan, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

As of now, neither South Sevier nor Parowan have any future games scheduled.
