Hampshire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the University Hawks. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Hampshire saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mark Richman, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, Richman posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Luke Poore also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hampshire's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for University, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: University beat Hampshire by a score of 9-1 later that day.
