The Oakwood Academy Mustangs lost against the Skyline Vikings back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Oakwood Academy fell just short of Skyline by a score of 44-42. While losing is never fun, Oakwood Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Skyline is ranked 81st).
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was William Lee, who scored 14 points. Jaiden Morton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Oakwood Academy dropped their record down to 12-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Skyline, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.
Oakwood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Skyline also has no future games currently scheduled.
