Football Recap: Lakota Beats Arcadia for Their Second Straight Victory

Lakota won the last time they faced Arcadia, and Jalen Wagner did his part to make sure it happened again. The Raiders really took it to the Redskins for the full four quarters, racking up a 39-6 victory thanks in part to Wagner, who rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 220 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 64 yards.

Lakota has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.0 points this season. As for Arcadia, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Lakota will look to defend their home field on Friday against Toledo Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for Arcadia, they will venture away from home to take on Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Redskins their first taste of in-conference action this season.
