The Revere Minutemen were the 53-32 winner over the Rootstown Rovers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Revere fell to Rootstown 53-47. While losing is never fun, Revere can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Rootstown is ranked 25th).
Rootstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby White led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 8 rebounds. Brooklynn McIntyre was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Revere and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Rootstown, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Revere will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Highland at 7:00 p.m. Highland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last four matchups. As for Rootstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th.
