Brownsville has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Yough Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Brownsville strolled past Geibel Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.
Meanwhile, Yough was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 68-62 to Southmoreland. While losing is never fun, Yough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Southmoreland is ranked 50th).
Brownsville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Yough, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
Brownsville came up short against Yough when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-38. Can Brownsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
