Kale Long put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Saturday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Colville is 2-1 when Long allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Long's effort led Colville over Riverside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
