Northland has been on the road for three straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Beechcroft Cougars at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Northland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9  runs per game  this season.
 Northland gave up the first  runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They walked away with  a   13-10  victory over Linden-McKinley.
  Cameron Wilson and  Dana Byrd made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Wilson   struck out eight batters over  3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Byrd   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Wilson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Wilson  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with a  home run, five  stolen bases,  and four  RBI, while  Byrd  scored two  runs and  stole five bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Jarrod Singleton Jr. was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing five bases while going 4-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Julio Luna Jr., who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.
 Beechcroft lost  16-2 to Centennial on Monday.
 Northland now  has a winning record of 8-7. As for Beechcroft, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with that  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
