If Calvary Christian Academy hoped to take revenge for the 65-45 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the defeat, Calvary Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Kyle Parks scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Parks scored 15 or more points.
Calvary Christian Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 13-6 record last season and are now at 1-7. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 247-912-2.
Calvary Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Aquinas Academy at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Aquinas Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Delaware Rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 58th). As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to challenge Potter's House Christian Blue at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
