Surry Central is 2-8 against Forbush since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Surry Central will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Providence Grove, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Jackson Wilmoth made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Branch scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Woodring went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Woodring has posted since back in February. Ty Lloyd was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Surry Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457.
