After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cumberland Christian Academy, Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 50-39 win over Collegedale Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy was led to victory by Howard Rivers and Zaki Parham. Rivers scored 11 points along with two steals, while Parham scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Parham grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kye Davis, who scored nine points.
Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Collegedale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Varsity Opponent at 4:10 p.m. on January 25th. Varsity Opponent is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. Collegedale Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mishawaka HomeSchool W at 2:00 p.m. on January 26th.
