A Season-Best Effort from Dk Chapman Jr. Leads Midlothian over Powhatan
Midlothian was led to victory by Dk Chapman Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Chapman Jr. rushed for 112 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Midlothian, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Chapman Jr. and Midlothian will head out on the road to square off against James River Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Powhatan Gets a Boost from Henderson in 35-23 Defeat
Powhatan had to settle for second on Friday, but Matt Henderson sure wasn't going down easily. Henderson was unstoppable, picking up 81 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making a tackle.
For the year, Henderson has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 83.3 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging four rushing yards.

Bryce Sowers Delivers Best Performance of Season
Bryce Sowers produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Midlothian to the win on Friday. Sowers rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.
Unfortunately for Powhatan, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Sowers. Sowers rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Indians duked it out back in October of 2023.

Linwood Johnson and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Linwood Johnson's big game helped extend Huguenot's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Johnson as he threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Huguenot pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Johnson and Huguenot will welcome Cosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lewis Made His Presence Known in Huguenot's 41-14 Win
Iveon Lewis's big game helped extend Huguenot's winning streak to seven on Friday. L.C. Bird had no answer to Lewis as he picked up 72 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
This year, Lewis has caught 11 touchdowns while averaging 98 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had five receiving touchdowns.
