Basketball Recap: Christian Learning Center Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Christian Learning Center won against Heartland last Tuesday with 37 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Christian Learning Center Mustangs snuck past Plaza Heights Christian Academy with a 37-31 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Christian Learning Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Bean, who posted eight points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Addison Martin, who earned 11 points and eight rebounds.

Reece Cornine and Sydney Berry certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Cornine had 16 points and eight steals, while Berry scored five points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Cornine is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played.

Christian Learning Center's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6.

Christian Learning Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-24 victory against Overland Christian on the 17th. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Center Place at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
