Harriman has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Rockwood Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Harriman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Jellico.
The losing side was boosted by Aaralyn Humphrey, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. She set a new season high mark in steals with five. Lexi Rose was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Harriman were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Rockwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 48-38 to Wartburg Central. Rockwood has not had much luck with Wartburg Central recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Harriman bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rockwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Harriman against Rockwood in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 49-21 victory. Will Harriman repeat their success, or does Rockwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
