The team relied heavily on Maddie Mulcahy, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Cretin-Derham Hall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Woodbury made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Anthony Village on Thursday. The Royals blew past the Huskies 10-3. Considering the Royals' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Kate Rapp made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Woodbury got a big performance out of Annabelle Arneson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Arneson has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Meeder, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Cretin-Derham Hall now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Woodbury, their record is now 7-9.
Cretin-Derham Hall couldn't quite get it done against Woodbury in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
