The biggest upset of the week belonged to Twinsburg, who took down 41st ranked Brunswick, 26-14.
Dan Yohman and Zach Parker provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Tigers. The connection was good for 80 yards, the longest such play in Northeast Ohio - Valley this season.
Mentor's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mitch Trubisky threw for 308 and six touchdowns and Brandon Fritts had 134 yards receiving. On the ground Trubisky chipped in 114 yards. Conner Krizancic helped Mentor's passing attack out by catching five balls for 87 yards.
The Cardinals' Trubisky and Krizancic have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Trubisky has thrown for 1793 yards this season, while Krizancic, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 36 catches for 576 yards. The Blue Devils' Nick Roberts leads the league in rushing yards with 619.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Solon takes on Twinsburg. At the moment, the Comets are in third, while Joe Schiavone's team is in second.
Medina moved up to 366 from 397 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northeast Ohio - Valley. The Battling Bees climbed the ranks as a result of a 13-6 win over Strongsville.
