Riverside Christian Academy has struggled against Franklin Road Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Franklin Road Christian to victory were Bryleigh Dempsey and Gracie Tidwell. Dempsey scored 19 points along with eight steals, while Tidwell almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 15 rebounds, and nine steals. Tidwell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karis Moore, who scored 12 points.
Riverside Christian Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.2 points per game. As for Franklin Road Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
Riverside Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Boyd Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024. As for Franklin Road Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
