Clare extended the longest winning streak in Jack Pine this week by beating Roscommon, 43-28. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Pioneers.
Gladwin took down Farwell 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Demetri Trice threw for 25 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 34 yards during the win.
The Bucks' dynamic duo of John Miller and Dylan Andrews proved tough for Clare to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Miller threw for 176 yards and Andrews had 92 yards receiving. Caleb Jernigan helped Roscommon's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 65 yards.
Jamie Hammond was a key player and the best on defense this week as Roscommon lost to Kelly Luplow's team. The 5-foot-10 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Jordan Gross was a beast in the backfield as the Pioneers beat Joe Holloway's team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Clare's Colton Punches and Joe Huston have proven to be a lethal combination. Punches has thrown for 769 yards this season, while Huston has 20 catches for 389 yards. Brett Jobin from the Bucks leads the league in rushing with 1,582 yards.
At the moment, the Pioneers are in third, while Meridian is in first.
The Mustangs made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,346 from 7,612. The improvement was largely due to a 36-0 victory over Beaverton last week.
