Basketball Recap: Agua Dulce Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Agua Dulce came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bruni Badgers 53-15. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Agua Dulce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Anderson, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Garza, who put up 12 points.

Agua Dulce smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Agua Dulce's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bruni, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Agua Dulce didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-26 win against Mathis on the 12th. As for Bruni, they will host San Isidro at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. San Isidro will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Bruni surely won't give up without a fight.
