Jordan-Matthews was handed a 51-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Cummings on Friday. Jordan-Matthews came out on top in a nail-biter against Cummings and snuck past 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Jordan-Matthews has posted yet this season.
Jordan-Matthews found their leader in underclassman Jada Scott, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brooklin Quee, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Graham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bartlett Yancey.
Jordan-Matthews' win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Graham, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
