After flying high against the Shepherd Pirates last Wednesday, the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans came back down to earth. Coldspring-Oakhurst fell 61-52 to Onalaska on Friday. Coldspring-Oakhurst was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Onalaska apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Mary Joy Cariaga, who scored 26 points along with six steals and five assists for Onalaska. Shaylan Linear was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Coldspring-Oakhurst has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Onalaska, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.
Coldspring-Oakhurst will head out on the road to take on Tarkington at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Onalaska, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shepherd is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
