It was a good run, but the Morrill Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 58-37 loss at the hands of Bayard. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Morrill has scored all season.
Morrill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Katelyn Walker, who scored ten points along with four steals and three blocks. Walker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Brown, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Bayard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joslyn Hopkins out in front who scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aleah Nesbitt, who scored 17 points.
Morrill's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Bayard, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

As for Bayard, they will head out on the road to challenge Leyton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
