It's playoff time, and Tuckahoe had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 48-44 win over the Mount Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Mount Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jake Maendel, who posted 18 points and eight rebounds, and Dominic Meier, who earned ten points and five boards. The game was Maendel's tenth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Hofer, who scored five points.

Tuckahoe's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Mount Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Tuckahoe will challenge Greenport at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mount Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
