In what's become a running theme this season, the Homestead Broncos gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-16 victory over Colonial Christian at home. Winning may never get old, but Homestead sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Homestead's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayda Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fisher has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nefertari Soloman, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Colonial Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will take on TERRA Environmental at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully TERRA Environmental focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Colonial Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Keys Gate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keys Gate comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
