It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Leroy Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 27-13 victory over Georgiana. Leroy's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Brayden Huebner, who rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 66 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Leroy's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Sawyer Sullivan and Timothy Parnell who racked up four sacks between them.
Leroy's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Georgiana, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Leroy will square off against Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brantley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. Georgiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
