The Fenton Tigers were expected to have a tough go of it on Friday, and that's exactly how things played out. They suffered a grim 79-53 defeat to the Linden Eagles. The result was an unfortunate reminder to the Tigers of the 69-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head in January.
Fenton's defeat pushed them down to 10-7. The win was the sixth in a row for Linden and raised their record to 15-2.
Fenton will take on Saline on Tuesday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest. Linden will be hunkering down at home again for their matchup against Lapeer on Tuesday. Unlike Linden, Lapeer will be limping in after taking a loss.
