The Tintic Miners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bryce Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tintic of the 60-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.
Despite the loss, Tintic still got an impressive performance from Cole Ward, who scored 21 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ward has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haygen Jameson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Tintic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Bryce Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.
Tintic will be playing in front of their home fans against Manila at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tintic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. Bryce Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
