Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 30-5. As for Southside, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-8.
 Sam Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southside,  a feisty cat fight will be fought when  the Cardinals  take on  the Panthers on Thursday.
