Onalaska is 9-1 against Aquinas since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Onalaska Hilltoppers are on the road again and plays the Aquinas Blugolds at 7:15 p.m. on February 13th. Onalaska has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 894 points over their last 12 matchups.
Onalaska pushed their score all the way to 94 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Caledonia by a score of 96-94. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (88), Onalaska still had to take the loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Aquinas gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sparta 71-37 at home. The win was just what Aquinas needed coming off of a 74-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Onalaska's loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-6. As for Aquinas, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-11.
Onalaska was able to grind out a solid win over Aquinas in their previous meeting back in January, winning 60-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Onalaska since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
