After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fountain Hills, the Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 44-37 victory over Wickenburg. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bourgade Catholic also won the last time the pair played on January 3rd.
Bourgade Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juliet Botiller, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Botiller has scored at least a third of Bourgade Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Bourgade Catholic's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. As for Wickenburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chino Valley the next time they take the court. Bourgade Catholic will head out to face Chino Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Wickenburg will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
