Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Southern Alamance Patriots walked away with it. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-0 victory over Orange. The win was familiar territory for Southern Alamance who now have nine in a row.
Logan Foust had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Foust was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Josiah Tysinger was another key contributor, gaining 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
Southern Alamance's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.6 points per game. As for Orange, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Southern Alamance will play host again and welcome Jacksonville, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
