Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Medford Tech beat Bishop Eustace Prep 56-51. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Crusaders are ranked fifth).

Medford Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Burlington Township came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 74-61.
Burlington Township's win came from a few key players Medford Tech will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Baron Davis, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Irving Singletary, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Medford Tech has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Burlington Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Medford Tech came up short against Burlington Township in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 56-52. Can Medford Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
