If the Moorcroft Wolves were expecting to get some payback for the 84-37 loss against the Tongue River Eagles when they previously met last January, then they were left disappointed. On Saturday, Moorcroft lost to Tongue River at home by a decisive 56-37 margin. Moorcroft's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
The Wolves' defeat pushed them down to 4-12. The win bumped Tongue River's record up to 9-6.
The Wolves have the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome Edgemont on Friday. Like Moorcroft, Edgemont is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 64-33 to Hemingford. As for Tongue River, they will go up against Big Horn on Thursday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close matchup.
