Providence Country Day/Wheeler/Sanchez Complex's Komotay Koffie recorded the longest rushing play in Division IV this season in his game against North Smithfield last week.
Hope was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Blue Wave triumphed over Central Falls 14-6.
Malik Velasquez was a passing and rushing force as the Warriors fell to Hope. He completed 14 passes for 115 yards and also ran for 23 yards. Velasquez's favorite target this week was Marcelino DaVega, who caught 6 passes for 59 yards.
Dylan Narodowy was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 75 yards on 2 carries as the Northmen lost to Mike Gibbons' team. Devon Deragon also contributed to the rushing game with 50 yards on the ground.
Jeff Lapierre's team's Velasquez and DaVega led Division IV in both passing and receiving yards. Velasquez has thrown for 822 yards this season, while DaVega has 22 catches for 419 yards. The Knights' Saul Mustaffa leads the league in rushing yards with 334.
The Blue Wave are in second place, while Scituate is in third place.
