The Brilliant Tigers lost against the Marion County Red Raiders back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Brilliant was the victim of a rough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Marion County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brilliant in their matchups with Marion County: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Tye Madison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Marion County. The contest was Madison's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Joe Aldridge was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Brilliant now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Marion County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brilliant will take on Vina at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Vina is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Marion County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lynn at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Lynn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
