The Iowa Colony Pioneers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Columbia 61-26 at home. The win was familiar territory for Iowa Colony who now have six in a row.
Iowa Colony's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenadie Francis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Payton Watson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals.
Natalie Sharpe and Alexia Lewis certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sharpe scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Lewis scored no points. Sharpe hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Iowa Colony is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Sweeny the next time they take the court. Iowa Colony will head out to face Sweeny at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Columbia will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
