Football Recap: All S Piles Up the Points Against Grapevine Faith Christian

All S won against Evergreen two weeks ago with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Saints breezed past the Grapevine Faith Christian Lions to the tune of 49-15. Considering the Saints have won three matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gavin Beard had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 206 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 49 yards and one score. Bourke Toler was in the mix too, providing All S with two touchdowns.

All S didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Clark and Nolan Luffey. All S got some further help from Keyon Adkins: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Special teams also played a big role in the game for All S, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Adkins, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

All S' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

All S has already played their next contest, a 38-30 victory against Trinity Christian on the 17th. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-35 loss against Southwest Christian School on the 17th.
