The Serrano Diamondbacks will face off against the Eisenhower Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Serrano is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Serrano will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Barstow, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Serrano's pitcher stepped up to hand Barstow a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Diamondbacks have won three contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sam Conan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Autumn Pratt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Carlie Moore was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower beat San Bernardino 8-5 last Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Like Serrano, Eisenhower also got a great game from a two-way player: Jenna Vallin. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Vallin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Azaleah Baca was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cari Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Eisenhower hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Eisenhower's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Serrano, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Serrano beat Eisenhower 4-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Serrano have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eisenhower turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
