The West Nassau Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Trinity Christian Academy by a score of 42-39. West Nassau was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquerors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 8th.
West Nassau lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tru Armstrong, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Hoggarth, who scored ten points.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Taylor Rosan, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Allison Bebernitz was another key contributor, scoring five points.
West Nassau has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-18.
West Nassau will take on the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully First Coast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 last Thursday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Christians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Christian will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
