The Ramsay Rams will square off against the Guntersville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ramsay comes in on seven and Guntersville on five.
With a playoff game on the line, Ramsay rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 40-27. Ramsay's victory was all the more impressive since Moody was averaging only 15.69 points allowed on the season.
Kameron Keenan was on fire: he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Ashton Ashford was another key contributor, gaining 143 total yards.
Meanwhile, Guntersville's offense rose to the challenge against a Spartans defense that boasted an average of only 15.42 points allowed. Guntersville walked away with a 31-21 victory over Pleasant Grove on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Guntersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Morrison, who threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing scores.
The last time Ramsay lost on the road was back back in September of 2022. Having now won nine straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 11-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.56 points. As for Guntersville, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Ramsay against Guntersville in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 45-9 victory. Does Ramsay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Guntersville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
