Andrew lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Homewood-Flossmoor, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Thunderbolts blew past the Vikings 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Thunderbolts have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Andrew and bumps their season record up to 15-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Andrew will challenge rival Sandburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Homewood-Flossmoor is set to face off against their familiar foe Lincoln-Way Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
