It was a good run, but the Junction City Dragons unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 77-76 to Fordyce. Junction City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fordyce apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Junction City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pechone Larry. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larry has scored all season. Montra Hankton was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds.
Junction City's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Fordyce, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Junction City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-19 win vs. Gurdon on the 9th. Fordyce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
