The Parkside Rams stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Mardela on the road to the tune of 73-10. Given Parkside's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Mardela is ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Zion Oge, who scored 24 points. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Diamond Dixon, who scored 14 points.
Parkside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Mardela, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bennett at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Bennett is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Mardela, they will head out on the road to square off against Snow Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Hill is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
