The Lake Park Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 64-30 win over Bloomington at home. Winning may never get old, but Lake Park sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Despite the loss, Bloomington still got an impressive performance from Evan Reed, who scored four points along with five assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Tindall, who scored eight points.
Lake Park pushed their record up to 19-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Bloomington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Park will challenge Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Lake Park is ranked 19th). As for Bloomington, they will head out on the road to take on Champaign Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Champaign Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
