Altamont walked away with a 27-18 victory over Westminster School at Oak Mountain on Saturday. This was payback for Altamont, who suffered a 56-29 loss the last time these two teams met.
Altamont found their leader in underclassman Abbey Sellers, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Madison Goldberg was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will challenge Southeastern at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Vincent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
