The Purvis Tornadoes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Collins with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. The victory was familiar territory for Purvis who now have four in a row.
Systren Eliza Elenus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Eliza Elenus is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breleigh Adkins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Purvis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Collins, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
Purvis will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Collins won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jefferson Davis County at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Jefferson Davis County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
