Lytle came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Karnes City Badgers. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Toby Davila was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Lytle's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-1 (and 3-5-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Weston Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Lytle's victory bumped their record up to 13-6-1. As for Karnes City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Lytle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Cotulla on the 20th. As for Karnes City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-4 victory against Luling on the 20th.
